Artists for Lahaina Update: Thank you to everyone who bid and purchased
paintings in the Artists for Lahaina fundraiser auction last month.
Together we raised over $500,000 which is going directly to people
affected by the tragic fires in Lahaina, Maui. Amazing!

Nebraska Biennial Juried Exhibition - If you haven't seen it yet,
there's still time to see this outstanding exhibition at Gallery 1516
in Omaha. It's an honor to once again have a painting, "Late Day
Reverie, Narada Lake" (16x20 oil) included. The exhibition runs through
December 17th. You can vote for Viewer's Choice in person at the
gallery too! The winning artist will receive a $2,500 cash award, so if
you're in the area and would like to vote, I'd appreciate yours!

Journey

About six years ago, hubby and I went to Kearney, Nebraska, to view the
Sandhill crane migration. We only had one night there and were so
fortunate to be treated to one of the most spectacular Nebraska sunsets
we've ever seen, in addition to thousands of cranes. If you've never
witnessed this wonder of nature, we highly recommend it. There's no
describing the sight and sound as they take off and land. This
painting, "Journey" (48x72" oil on gallery wrap canvas), was painted
from reference photos I took of that magical night. If you look closely
you'll see groups of cranes in the sky as they come in to roost for the
night. Available through Out of the Box in Ralston, NE. Click on the

Here's what's currently on my easel...it's SOOO close to being
finished! Just needs a few more tweaks. You'll be able to see the
finished piece at this weekend's gallery open house. The subject is a
fawn and doe who have been living in the woods behind our house. Hubby
and I were in our backyard one day and heard a noise. I turned around
to see the very curious fawn looking at us with mama watching us
closely behind her baby. I was lucky to snap a photo of them and knew I
had to paint it. This one is 40"x30" on gallery wrap canvas.
