Hello and Happy Autumn!
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying some beautiful weather where you are...it's gorgeous here in the Omaha area this week. Things are busy as always here, preparing for a solo exhibition next month, working on a few commissions and, as mentioned in my last newsletter, preparing for knee replacement surgery at the end of this week. I unfortunately had to withdraw from three plein air events this summer and fall because the ol' knee just wasn't cooperating...so it's time to get her fixed so I can get back to standing at my easel again.
While I'm recuperating, my gallery will be open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 4pm. Thanks to my friend Kori for helping out during this time! I hope to be back in just a few short weeks.
Above is one of my newest paintings created for my solo exhibition, "Yes, This is Nebraska," at Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art in David City, Nebraska, which will run November 19, 2021 through March 13, 2022. "The Long Road Home" was painted from photos I took in the area known as the Bohemian Alps, in Butler County. This road was just southeast of David City. Many of the roads there are like roller coasters and you can see for miles at the tops of the hills.
Here are a few more new pieces for the show...click on the image to read more about each piece. To see more of the work in this collection go to https://www.debrajoygroesser.com/collections/89886
